Jam and vets.

The rain started about 2200 last night and was quite heavy until about 0100. After that it came and went and when we woke up it was just a heavy drizzle for the morning. I spent the morning converting the fruit I had found into jam which takes a surprisingly long time. Helen popped to a Charity shop where she had seen some wool on sale for a good price and did some crocheting.

I reckon that there is about 20lb of jam here.

We stayed where we were until about 1500 and then we moved on as I had an appointment for Macy at a vets after 1700. We passed a huge Morrison's with moorings on the outskirts of Leamington Spa and then later a Lidel.

This is the Grand Union aqueduct over the River Avon. there are hope that the Avon can be made navigable to close to here and then joined with the Grand Union by a series of locks. That would added another route to those of the area.

Avon Aqueduct.

We stopped by yet another supermarket with moorings, this time a Tesco's. This was where we pulled over as the vet's was just down the road from here. It was about 5 minutes away and we were seen earlier than booked in the end. Macy was well behaved and was given a clean bill of health along with her annual jabs. We then got underway again to get a little closer to town.

An original bridge near to Tesco's.

We didn't go very far and stopped just  near to Kate Boats hire base. It is dull and not very conducive to getting us to walk into town this evening so we hunkered down with a book for the evening.
